Absolute Beginners (1986)
England 1958. Der junge modeverrückte Colin lebt in diesem heißen Sommer im vorwiegend von Schwarzen bewohnten Londoner Viertel Napoli. In Soho verliebt er sich in die hübsche Suzette und verliert sie an einen älteren Lebemann, der sie heiratet. Enttäuscht stürzt er sich in die Arbeit als Modefotograf und steigt in der Künstlerszene zum gefeierten Star auf. Als die Jugendlichen, die eigentlich die Schwarzen vertreiben sollen, in Napoli Amok laufen, trifft Colin Suzette, die es in ihrer Villa nicht ausgehalten hat, wieder.
