Above Suspicion (2019)
Susan Smith ist das, was man als „White Trash“ bezeichnet, eine verarmte Frau, die in einem trostlosen Kaff in den Appalachen festsitzt und als alleinerziehende Mutter mehr schlecht als recht über die Runden kommt. Sofort wird sie auf einen attraktiven Neuankömmling aufmerksam, den frisch verheirateten und aufstrebenden FBI-Agenten Mark, dem es gelingt, Susan als Informantin anzuheuern und spektakuläre Erfolge zu erzielen. Bald schon beginnen die beiden eine Affäre miteinander, die schnell aus dem Ruder läuft.
