O Lucky Man! (1973)
Auf der Reise durch England durchläuft ein junger naiver Kaffee-Verkäufer vielerlei Stationen und eine von Korruption und Ausbeutung bald emporgetragene, bald geschädigte Karriere. Die effektvoll aufgezogene Parabel führt den Helden zu einer resignierenden Einsicht in die gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse: er läßt sich zwar nicht korrumpieren, verliert aber sein Lachen. Eine ebenso böse wie geistreiche Satire auf die Dummheit der Menschen.
