Killing Midnight (1997)
Der Kriminalschriftsteller William Rhodes leidet unter einer schweren Schreibblockade. Unter extremem Stress ist William nicht in der Lage, den Roman zu schreiben, den er seinem Verleger schon vor Wochen hätte vorlegen sollen. Als Williams Nachbar nur wenige Meter von seinem eigenen Boot entfernt ermordet wird, wird er von der Polizei verhört. Nicht nur, dass William zum Verdächtigen wird, Detective Sanchez weist auch darauf hin, dass der Mord auf die gleiche Weise begangen wurde wie einer der Morde in Williams erstem Roman.
