The Last Full Measure (2020)
The Last Full Measure erzählt nach wahren Begebenheiten von dem jungen Sanitäter William Pitsenbarger, der in einer der härtesten Schlachten des Vietnamkrieges über 60 Männer gerettet hat. Er hatte die Gelegenheit, mit dem letzten Hubschrauber aus der Kampfzone zu fliehen, blieb jedoch zurück, um das Leben seiner Kameraden zu retten und zu verteidigen. Mehr als 30 Jahre später soll der junge und ehrgeizige Pentagon-Beamte Scott Huffman prüfen, ob Pitsenbarger dafür die Medal-of-Honor-Tapferkeitsmedaille – die höchste militärische Ehre in den USA – verdient. Zunächst interessiert ihn der Fall nur wenig, doch als er in den Archiven wühlt und die überlebenden Veteranen befragt, stößt er auf einen Kriegsskandal, den seine Vorgesetzten vertuschen wollen. Scott hat nun die Wahl zwischen Karriere und Wahrheit…
