Hausfreunde sind auch Menschen (1968)
Harriet Blossom ist gelangweilt. Bei ihrem Mann dreht sich alles nur noch um dessen Arbeit als Büstenhalterfabrikant. Als Harriet eines Tages ihre Nähmaschine zur Reparatur bringt, trifft sie dort auf Ambrose Tuttle. Der Mechaniker bringt wieder Schwung in ihr freudloses Leben. Doch schon kurz nachdem Harriet ihren Geliebten als Untermieter auf dem Dachboden einquartiert hat, fliegt die Affäre auf.
