Eine übersinnlich begabte junge Frau entdeckt eine jahrhundertealte Kiste, die auf der Ranch ihrer Tante vergraben ist. Beim Öffnen entdeckt ihre Familie den lebenden Kopf von Gideon Drew, einem Teufelsanbeter aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, der von Sir Francis Drake enthauptet wurde.
