Ein Toter spielt Klavier (1961)
Die an den Rollstuhl gefesselte Penny Appleby will zum ersten Mal seit zehn Jahren ihren Vater an der französischen Riviera besuchen. Vor Ort wird sie von ihrer neuen Stiefmutter Jane empfangen und erfährt, dass sich ihr Vater auf einer überraschenden Geschäftsreise befindet. Umso schockierter ist Penny, als sie nachts die Leiche ihres Vaters im Gästehaus zu sehen glaubt. In den nächsten Tagen trifft sie wiederholt auf die Leiche, ohne dass eine Spur von ihr zurückbleibt. Der Arzt Dr. Gerrard verkündet, dass Penny unter Halluzinationen leidet, doch in dem attraktiven Chauffeur Bob scheint sie einen Verbündeten zu haben.
