Der Eissturm (1997)
Connecticut 1973: eine kleine Vorstadt am Wochenende nach Thanksgiving. Das Wetter wird kälter und ähnlich sieht es auch in den Herzen der Menschen aus. Die Ehe von Elena und Benjamin Hood ist an einem Tiefpunkt angekommen. Er hat ein Verhältnis mit einer Nachbarin, Janey Carver. Es ist die Zeit der Frustration und der sexuellen Befreiung und sie sind an diesem Wochenende zu einer Partnertauschparty eingeladen. Beiden ist die Sache nicht geheuer, doch sie wissen auch, daß es so nicht weitergehen kann. Der Sohn der Hoods, Paul, reist derweil in die Stadt, weil er sich dort von einer hübschen Klassenkameradin etwas erwartet. Die Tochter Wendy durchstöbert derweil die Bars und Schränke der Nachbarn. Von Neugier und der Pubertät getrieben kommt es zu sexuell motivierten Spielen mit den Carver-Kindern. In der Nacht, in der eine Tragödie alles verändern wird, zieht ein Eissturm auf, der Schlimmste des Jahrhunderts …
