The Flood - Melodie der Rache (2020)
Jarah Banganha (Alexis Lane) ist eine Aborigine-Frau, die in einer Zeit, in der in Europa und im Pazifik der Zweite Weltkrieg wütet, mit ansehen muss, wie ihre Familie durch die neuen Gesetze der britischen Siedler in Australien immer mehr auseinandergerissen wird. Als Jarah und ihre Tochter Binda (Simone Landers) die Grausamkeiten der Neuankömmlinge in Person des brutalen und rücksichtslos auftretenden Gerald Mackay (Peter McAllum) und seines keinen Deut besseren Sohnes Paddy (Dean Kyrwood) am eigenen Leib erfahren, wird ihre diesbezügliche Wut nur noch weiter geschürt. Dann kehrt ihr Ehemann Waru (Shaka Cook) von seinem heroischen Fronteinsatz für das Land in die Heimat zurück. Von den Behörden wird er aber nicht einmal ansatzweise auf die gleiche Weise behandelt und geehrt wie sein weißer Kamerad und bester Freund Minto (Aaron Jeffrey). Jarah ist nun endgültig entschlossen, eigenhändig für Gerechtigkeit zu sorgen.
