Twixt - Virginias Geheimnis (2011)
Der Horror-Autor Hall Baltimore hat schon seit einiger Zeit kein erfolgreiches Buch mehr veröffentlicht. Daher führen ihn seine Lesetouren nur noch in kleinere Städte, in denen nicht viel los ist und deren Bewohner lieber in Ruhe gelassen werden wollen. In einer dieser Kleinstädte geschahen vor kurzem mehrere Morde, die einem Serienkiller zugeschrieben werden. Als Hall in dieser Stadt übernachtet, erscheint ihm im Traum der Geist eines der ermordeten Mädchen das sich ihm als Virginia vorstellt. Baltimore freut sich in erster Linie über die Möglichkeit, dieses Material für ein neues Buch zu verwenden. Doch bald schon muss er feststellen, dass die Wahrheit dieser Geschichte sehr viel tiefer geht und dass sie mehr mit ihm zu tun hat, als er ursprünglich ahnte.
