Joanne Whalley (* 25. August 1961) ist eine englische Schauspielerin, die ihre Karriere 1974 begann. Seitdem hat sie zahlreiche Rollen gespielt, vorwiegend im Fernsehen, aber auch in fast 30 Kinofilmen, darunter „Dance with a Stranger“ (1985), „Willow“ (1988), „Scandal“ (1989), „The Secret Rapture“ (1993) und „Mother's Boys“ (1994). Nach ihrer Heirat mit Val Kilmer im Jahr 1988 wurde sie bis zur Scheidung 1996 unter dem Namen Joanne Whalley-Kilmer geführt. Whalley wurde für den BAFTA TV Award als Beste Hauptdarstellerin für die BBC-Serie „Edge of Darkness“ (1985) nominiert und erhielt eine Nominierung für den Goldenen Nymphenpreis als Beste Hauptdarstellerin beim Fernsehfestival von Monte-Carlo für die Serie „Die Borgias“ (2011). Zu ihren weiteren Fernsehrollen zählt die BBC-Serie „The Singing Detective“ (1986). Sie spielte die Titelrolle in dem CBS-Fernsehfilm Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis aus dem Jahr 2000 und verkörperte Claudia, die Ehefrau von Pontius Pilatus, in der NBC-Serie A.D. The Bible Continues aus dem Jahr 2015.
