Chapter 27 (2007)
Der Sonderling Mark David Chapman ist ein fanatischer Fan der Beatles und insbesondere von John Lennon. In der Vorweihnachtszeit 1980 reist er von Hawaii nach New York, ausgerüstet mit seinem Lieblingsbuch „The Catcher in the Rye“. Vor dem Dakota Building am Rande des Central Park, wo John Lennon zusammen mit Yoko Ono lebt, lernt er Jude kennen, ebenfalls eine glühende Lennon-Verehrerin. Dort warten die beiden auf die große Gelegenheit, ein Autogramm vom Meister persönlich zu erhalten. Doch was Jude nicht weiß: Marks Bewunderung für Lennon geht mit einem verwirrten Hass einher, da er seine Ideale von seinem einstigen Idol verraten fühlt. In seiner Tasche trägt er eine geladene Pistole, entschlossen, den Musiker zu töten.
