Graf Cagliostro (1949)
Episoden aus dem Leben des bekannten Alchimisten und Geisterbeschwörers aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, sehr frei nach der historischen Vorlage und frei nach einem Roman von Alexandre Dumas. Cagliostro beginnt als Jahrmarkts-Wundertäter in Wien, wird von Franz Anton Mesmer (Begründer der Lehre vom tierischen Magnetismus) gefördert und gerät in den Strudel der Halsbandaffäre am französischen Königshof.
