Goal! - Lebe deinen Traum (2005)
Der junge Santiago Munez träumt von Los Angeles von einer Karriere als Profifussballer. Doch die Realität sieht anders aus: Jeden Tag muss er hart arbeiten, um die illegal eingereiste Familie über Wasser zu halten. Durch Zufall beobachtet ihn der britische Talentscout Glen Foy beim Kicken und bietet ihm prompt ein Probetraining beim britischen Club Newcastle United an. Santiago wittert seine Chance und reist gegen den Willen seines Vaters ins Königreich des Fussballs. Hier weht ein anderer Wind - das Klima ist rau, das Training hart und die Mitspieler nicht gerade verständnisvoll. Einziger Lichtblick ist die hübsche Krankenschwester Roz, die ihm immer wieder Mut macht. Nach und nach erkämpft sich Santiago den Respekt von Trainer und Mannschaft und wächst schließlich über sich hinaus...
