Mad City (1997)
Museumswächter Sam ist entlassen worden und will seine Chefin mit vorgehaltener Waffe zwingen, ihn wiedereinzustellen. Die Situation eskaliert und Sam nimmt die verbleibenden Besucher, eine Schulklasse und ihre Lehrerin, als Geiseln. Außerdem ist zufällig auch noch der abgetakelte Fernsehreporter Max Brackett vor Ort, der die Situation nutzen will, um seine Karriere wiederzubeleben. Er wird das Verbindungsglied zu einem beispiellosen Medienzirkus, der um die Situation herum entsteht.
