Police Detective Joe Bomowski ist fix und fertig: Seine Mutter kommt zu Besuch. Kein Grund zur Freude, denn Mami ist ein ganz besonderes Kaliber. Energisch mischt sie sich in alle Dinge ein, die sie absolut nichts angehen. Zu allem Überfluß wird sie zufällig auch noch zur einzigen Zeugin in einem wichtigen Mordfall. Die Aufklärung nimmt sie natürlich gleich selbst in die Hand.
