Ivan Reitman OC war ein kanadisch-amerikanischer Film- und Fernsehregisseur, Produzent und Drehbuchautor. Er war vor allem für seine Komödien bekannt, insbesondere in den 1980er- und 1990er-Jahren. Er war Inhaber der Montecito Picture Company, die er 1998 gründete. Zu seinen bekanntesten Filmen zählen „Babyspeck und Fleischklösschen“ (1979), „Ich glaub' mich knutscht ein Elch!“ (1981), „Ghostbusters“ (1984), „Ghostbusters II“ (1989), „Twins“ (1988), „Kindergarten Cop“ (1990), „Dave“ (1993) und „Junior“ (1994).
