Marie-Sophie Nélisse ist eine kanadische Schauspielerin. Sie ist bekannt für ihre mit dem Genie Award ausgezeichnete Leistung in Monsieur Lazhar und für ihre Hauptrolle in The Book Thief. Nélisse wurde in Windsor, Ontario, geboren, zog aber mit ihrer Familie nach Montréal, Québec, als sie vier Jahre alt war. Sie ist französisch-kanadischer Abstammung. Neben ihrem Genie Award für Monsieur Lazhar gewann sie einen Jutra Award für ihre Leistung und eine Young Artist Award-Nominierung als beste junge Hauptdarstellerin in einem internationalen Spielfilm. Sie hatte auch Rollen in dem Film Ésimésac und in einer Sitcom aus Québec namens Les Parent. Sie ist vor allem für ihre Darstellung von Liesel Meminger in der Verfilmung des Bestsellers The Book Thief bekannt. Ihre Schwester ist die Schauspielerin Isabelle Nélisse.
