Ryan Reynolds (* 23. Oktober 1976 in Vancouver, Kanada) ist ein kanadisch-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Produzent und Unternehmer, der für seine humorvollen und actionreichen Rollen bekannt ist. Seine Karriere begann in den frühen 1990er Jahren mit Fernsehproduktionen, bevor er sich als gefragter Darsteller in Hollywood etablierte. Nach ersten Erfolgen in der Serie Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place (1998–2001) machte er sich mit Filmen wie Party Animals – Wilder geht’s nicht! (2002) und Blade: Trinity (2004) einen Namen. Mit Selbst ist die Braut (2009) bewies er sein Talent für romantische Komödien, bevor er mit Deadpool (2016) endgültig zum Superstar wurde. Die Rolle des sarkastischen Antihelden brachte ihm weltweite Anerkennung und führte zu den Fortsetzungen Deadpool 2 (2018) und Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Neben seinen Superheldenrollen überzeugte Reynolds in Filmen wie Safe House (2012), The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017) und Free Guy (2021). Er war zudem als Synchronsprecher in Animationsfilmen wie Turbo (2013) und Pokémon: Meisterdetektiv Pikachu (2019) tätig. Abseits der Schauspielerei ist Reynolds Mitinhaber des Fußballclubs Wrexham AFC und engagiert sich für verschiedene soziale Projekte.
