Sally Kirkland (31. Oktober 1941 – 11. November 2025) war eine US-amerikanische Film-, Fernseh- und Theaterschauspielerin sowie Produzentin. Als ehemaliges Mitglied von Andy Warhols Factory und aktives Mitglied der New Yorker Avantgarde-Theaterszene der 1960er-Jahre wirkte sie in über 250 Film- und Fernsehproduktionen während ihrer 60-jährigen Karriere mit. Kirkland war die Tochter der Modejournalistin Sally Kirkland, die für die Zeitschriften Life und Vogue arbeitete. Für ihre Darstellung in „Anna“ (1987) wurde Kirkland für den Oscar als Beste Hauptdarstellerin nominiert, verlor jedoch gegen Cher, die für ihre Rolle in „Mondsüchtig“ gewann. Für diese Rolle erhielt sie den Golden Globe als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einem Filmdrama und wurde außerdem von der Los Angeles Film Critics Association und den Independent Spirit Awards ausgezeichnet. Für ihre Leistung in „The Haunted“ (1991) erhielt sie eine zweite Golden-Globe-Nominierung als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Miniserie oder einem Fernsehfilm. Kirkland war außerdem bekannt für ihre Rollen in Cold Feet (1989), Best of the Best (1989), JFK (1991) und Bruce Almighty (2003).
