Lolita Davidovich wurde bekannt, nachdem sie im Film Blaze – Eine gefährliche Liebe 1989 neben Paul Newman eine der Hauptrollen spielte. Im Film Object of Beauty, auch bekannt als Verliebt, verwöhnt und abgebrannt spielte sie neben John Malkovich und Andie MacDowell, im Film Der Schein-Heilige neben Steve Martin und Debra Winger, im Film Begegnungen neben Richard Gere und Sharon Stone. Für ihre Hauptrolle im Film Younger and Younger, in dem sie neben Donald Sutherland und Brendan Fraser spielte, gewann sie den Tokyo International Film Festival Award.
