Adam Brooks (* 3. September 1956) ist ein kanadischer Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor und Schauspieler. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch das Drehbuch und die Regie von „Vielleicht, vielleicht auch nicht“ (2008) sowie durch die Drehbücher zu „French Kiss“ (1995), „Wimbledon“ (2004) und „Bridget Jones – Am Rande des Wahnsinns“ (2004). Sein Regiedebüt als Autor und Regisseur, „Almost You“, gewann 1985 den Jurypreis beim Sundance Film Festival. Brooks war Mitglied des Vorstands der Writers Guild of America East und ist derzeit im Vorstand der Writers Guild of America East Foundation. Er unterrichtet außerdem Film an der Columbia University Graduate School of the Arts. Brooks lebt in New York City.
