Sir Sidney Poitier war ein bahamaisch-US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Regisseur. Für seine Rolle in Lilien auf dem Felde wurde er 1964 als erster afroamerikanischer Schauspieler mit einem Oscar für eine Hauptrolle ausgezeichnet.
