Edward Leonard „Ed“ O’Neill (* 12. April 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Berühmt wurde er durch seine Rolle als Al Bundy in der Kult-Sitcom Eine schrecklich nette Familie (Married… with Children; 1987–1997). Später feierte er großen Erfolg als Jay Pritchett in der vielfach ausgezeichneten Serie Modern Family (2009–2020). O’Neill ist bekannt für seine markante Mischung aus trockenem Humor und bodenständigem Auftreten. Neben dem Fernsehen war er auch in Filmproduktionen zu sehen und ist ausgebildeter Theaterschauspieler. Bevor er zur Schauspielerei fand, verfolgte er kurzzeitig eine Karriere als Football-Spieler.
