Jonathan Edward Bernthal ist ein amerikanischer Schauspieler. Er begann seine Karriere Anfang der 2000er Jahre und wurde bekannt durch seine Rolle als Shane Walsh in der AMC-Horror-Drama-Serie The Walking Dead (2010–2012; 2018), in der er in den ersten beiden Staffeln zur Hauptbesetzung gehörte. Bernthal erlangte weitere Anerkennung als Frank Castle / The Punisher im Marvel Cinematic Universe, wo er in der zweiten Staffel von Daredevil (2016), der Spin-off-Serie The Punisher (2017–2019) und der ersten Staffel von Daredevil: Born Again (2025) auftrat. Für seine wiederkehrende Gastrolle als drogenabhängiger Michael Berzatto in der Serie The Bear (2022–heute) gewann Bernthal einen Primetime Emmy Award.
