Kim Victoria Cattrall (* 21. August 1956) ist eine britisch-kanadische Schauspielerin, die für ihre vielseitige Karriere in Film, Theater und Fernsehen bekannt ist. Sie begann ihre Laufbahn früh und unterzeichnete noch vor ihrem Schulabschluss 1972 einen Filmvertrag mit Otto Preminger. Berühmt wurde sie als Samantha Jones in „Sex and the City“, doch sie verfügt auch über eine klassische Schauspielausbildung an der LAMDA und der American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Zu ihren Bühnenrollen zählen Auftritte am Broadway an der Seite von Sir Ian McKellen sowie in David Mamets gefeiertem Stück „The Cryptogram“. Im Fernsehen spielte sie in Adaptionen wie „The Heidi Chronicles“ und Oliver Stones „Wild Palms“ sowie in zahlreichen Blockbustern. Zu ihren Auszeichnungen gehören ein Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Awards, ein Emmy und eine Screen Actors Guild-Nominierung für ihre ikonische Rolle in „Sex and the City“.
