Zu seinen Auszeichnungen zählen ein American Music Award, ein Billboard Music Award und sechs Grammy-Nominierungen. Er gilt als einflussreiche Figur der späten 1990er und frühen 2000er Jahre und als einer der ganz Großen des Hip-Hop. Seine Musik zeichnet sich durch seinen aggressiven Rap-Stil aus, dessen Texte von Hardcore-Themen bis hin zu Gebeten reichen. Seine gewalttätigen Texte trugen maßgeblich zur Popularisierung des Horrorcore-Genres bei.
