John Carroll O'Connor (2. August 1924 – 21. Juni 2001), besser bekannt als Carroll O'Connor, war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Produzent und Regisseur, dessen Fernsehkarriere sich über vier Jahrzehnte erstreckte. Bekannt wurde er zunächst durch seine Rolle als Generalmajor Colt in dem Film „Kellys Helden“ (1970). Später erlangte er Berühmtheit als der engstirnige Arbeiter Archie Bunker, die Hauptfigur der CBS-Sitcoms „All in the Family“ (1971–1979) und „Archie Bunker's Place“ (1979–1983) aus den 1970er-Jahren. Von 1988 bis 1995 spielte O'Connor in der NBC-Krimiserie „In der Hitze der Nacht“ den Südstaaten-Polizeichef William (Bill) Gillespie. Zum Abschluss seiner Karriere Ende der 1990er-Jahre verkörperte er den Vater von Jamie Stemple Buchman (Helen Hunt) in der Serie „Verrückt nach dir“.
