Val Avery (eigentlich Sebouh Der Abrahamian, * 14. Juli 1924 in Philadelphia; † 12. Dezember 2009 in Greenwich Village) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Seine Karriere bei Film und Fernsehen begann er zu Zeiten der ersten Live-Sendungen Anfang der 1950er Jahre; erste größere Aufmerksamkeit erlangte er in Schmutziger Lorbeer, wo er an der Seite von Humphrey Bogart spielte. Daraufhin spielte er immer wieder Polizisten, Kleinganoven oder Mafiakiller auf der Leinwand wie in Fernsehserien, so in Man nannte ihn Hombre, Die glorreichen Sieben, Columbo und Auf der Flucht, er war an etwa 100 Kinofilmen und 300 Fernsehproduktionen beteiligt. Seine letzte Rolle spielte er dabei 2004. Häufig arbeitete Avery mit John Cassavetes zusammen.
