Christopher John Weitz (* 30. November 1969) ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor, Produzent und Schauspieler. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit seinem Bruder Paul an den Komödien „American Pie“ und „About a Boy“. Letzterer brachte den Weitz-Brüdern eine Oscar-Nominierung für das beste adaptierte Drehbuch ein. Zu seinen weiteren Hauptwerken zählen die Verfilmungen von „Der Goldene Kompass“ und „New Moon“ aus der „Twilight“-Reihe, das Drehbuch für Disneys Realverfilmung von „Cinderella“ aus dem Jahr 2015 sowie das Drehbuch zu „Rogue One: A Star Wars Story“, das er gemeinsam mit Tony Gilroy verfasste.
