Jerry Lewis (* 16. März 1926 als Joseph Levitch in Newark, New Jersey; † 20. August 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada) war ein US-amerikanischer Komiker, Schauspieler, Sänger, Produzent, Drehbuchautor und Regisseur. Weltweit bekannt wurde er nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg durch eine zehnjährige Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sänger und Entertainer Dean Martin. Das Duo Martin & Lewis wurde zu einem der erfolgreichsten Comedy-Teams der Nachkriegszeit. Nach der Trennung des Teams entwickelte Lewis eine eigenständige Karriere.
