Edward James Begley Jr. (* 16. September 1949) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Umweltaktivist. Er wirkte in Hunderten von Filmen, Fernsehserien und Theaterstücken mit. In der Fernsehserie „St. Elsewhere“ (1982–1988) spielte er Dr. Victor Ehrlich. Für diese Rolle wurde er sechsmal in Folge für den Primetime Emmy Award und einmal für den Golden Globe Award nominiert. Auch im Kino war er äußerst produktiv. Zu seinen Filmen zählen „Blue Collar“ (1978), „Ein Offizier und Gentleman“ (1982), „This Is Spinal Tap“ (1984), „Transylvania 6-5000“ (1985), „The Accidental Tourist“ (1988), „Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills“ (1989), „She-Devil“ (1989), „Batman Forever“ (1995) und „Pineapple Express“ (2008). Er ist ein wiederkehrendes Mitglied des Ensembles in den Mockumentaries von Christopher Guest und Eugene Levy, darunter „Best in Show“ (2000), „A Mighty Wind“ (2003), „For Your Consideration“ (2006) und „Mascots“ (2016). Außerdem moderierte er zusammen mit seiner Frau Rachelle Carson die Reality-Show „Living with Ed“ (2007–2010), in der es um nachhaltiges Leben ging. Er ist seit dem 23. August 2000 mit der Schauspielerin Rachelle Carson verheiratet; die beiden haben ein Kind.
