Scott Edward Adkins ist ein englischer Schauspieler und Martial Artist. Bereits im Alter von 10 Jahren entwickelte er eine Vorliebe für Martial Arts, als er und sein Vater einen Judoklub besuchten. Mit 14 hatte er fast jeden Film von Bruce Lee gesehen und sah ihn als sein großes Vorbild. Mit 19 Jahren erreichte er seinen ersten schwarzen Gürtel. Im Jahr 2001 bot man Scott Adkins eine Rolle in dem Hong-Kong-Martial-Arts-Film Mortal Fighters an. Anschließend verbrachte Scott Adkins längere Zeit in Ostasien und drehte Filme mit berühmten Actionregisseuren aus Hong Kong, darunter Woo-ping Yuen und Corey Yuen. Nebenbei ergatterte er Parts in BBC-Produktionen wie EastEnders und Holby City. Der internationale Durchbruch gelang ihm 2006 als Yuri Boyka mit Undisputed II: Last Man Standing und als Hector in The Expendables 2. Es folgten Rollen in großen Blockbustern wie Das Bourne Ultimatum, Deadpool und The Legend of Hercules.
