Zero Dark Thirty (2012)
Ein Jahr nach den Anschlägen vom 11. September beteiligt sich die CIA-Analystin Maya an der Jagd auf den Terroristen Osama bin Laden. Es wird eine zermürbende, jahrelange Suche nach Hinweisen, bin Ladens Kontaktmännern und seinem Aufenthaltsort. Das Ganze wird begleitet von vielen Rückschlägen und sogar dem Tod einer engen Kollegin Mayas - bei einem Treffen mit einem Bin-Laden-Informant wird sie Opfer eines Bombenattentats. Immer fanatischer stürzt sich Maya in die Suche, bis sie den richtigen Treffer landet: Alles deutet darauf hin, dass sich bin Laden in einem Anwesen im pakistanischen Abottabad versteckt. Und Maya bekommt von ganz oben das "Go" für die Operation "Neptun's Spear", die in der Nacht vom 2. auf den 3. Mai 2011 um 00.30 Uhr, "Zero Dark Thirty", stattfindet.
