Biografie:

Tim Ryan war ein US-amerikanischer Künstler, der heute wohl am bekanntesten als Filmschauspieler ist. Ryan und seine Frau Irene, die später die Rolle der Granny in der Fernsehserie „The Beverly Hillbillies“ spielte, waren ein erfolgreiches Showbusiness-Duo, das am Broadway, im Film und im Radio auftrat. Mitte der 1930er-Jahre drehten sie einige Kurzfilme für Educational Pictures, die auf ihren Vaudeville-Auftritten basierten. Sie waren von 1922 bis 1942 verheiratet. Auch nach ihrer Scheidung 1942 arbeiteten sie gelegentlich zusammen. In den 1940er-Jahren fand Ryan Möglichkeiten bei Monogram Pictures, wo er in Filmen mitwirkte und Drehbücher schrieb. In Filmen der 1940er- und frühen 1950er-Jahre verkörperte Ryan zahlreiche Rollen als Polizist, Zeitungsredakteur und Detektiv.
