John Miljan (9. November 1892 – 24. Januar 1960) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Zwischen 1924 und 1958 wirkte er in 201 Filmen mit. Fast vier Jahrzehnte lang, beginnend 1923, verkörperte er den großgewachsenen, gewandten Bösewicht in Hollywood-Filmen. Miljan gab sein Debüt im Tonfilm 1927 mit dem Werbetrailer für „Der Jazzsänger“, in dem er das Publikum für den kommenden Meilenstein der Filmgeschichte warb. Später spielte er imposante, autoritäre Rollen, beispielsweise hochrangige Manager und Offiziere. Am bekanntesten ist er für seine Darstellung von General Custer in Cecil B. DeMilles Film „Der Mann aus der Prärie“. Miljan starb 1960 im Alter von 67 Jahren in Hollywood an Krebs. Er war mit Victoire Lowe verheiratet und adoptierte ihre beiden Söhne aus ihrer ersten Ehe mit dem Schauspieler Creighton Hale.
