Arthur Housman (10. Oktober 1889 – 8. April 1942) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, der sowohl in der Stummfilmzeit als auch im Goldenen Zeitalter Hollywoods wirkte. Anfangs als Hauptdarsteller bekannt, erlangte Housman später in den 1930er-Jahren als Hollywoods bekanntester komischer Trunkenbold Berühmtheit. Er spielte meist Cameo-Rollen in Spielfilmen, hatte aber in Kurzfilmen größere Chancen. Seine bekanntesten Rollen hatte er in mehreren Laurel-und-Hardy-Filmen, insbesondere in „Scram!“, „Our Relations“ und (in der Titelrolle) „The Live Ghost“. Außerdem spielte er einen frustrierten Zeitnehmer in dem Three-Stooges-Film „Punch-Drunks“. Housman starb im Alter von 52 Jahren an einer Lungenentzündung. Er war von 1919 bis zu seinem Tod 1942 mit Ellen Grubley (31. Juli 1893 – 21. Mai 1960) verheiratet.
