Der aus Dallas, Texas, stammende Bond war vor allem für seine Arbeit als Kinderdarsteller in zwei verschiedenen, nicht aufeinanderfolgenden Zeiträumen in den „Our Gang“-Komödien (Die kleinen Strolche) bekannt und außerdem dafür, der erste Schauspieler gewesen zu sein, der die Rolle von „Supermans Freund“ Jimmy Olsen auf der Leinwand verkörperte.
