Bhram-Nagri: The Land of Pushkar (2025)
A strange journey into Pushkar, a city where faith, myth, commerce and superstition coexist in a peculiar state of harmony. What begins as an observational documentary slowly slips into something far more elusive, following the people, rituals, beliefs and contradictions that make up this ancient town. Moving between interviews, fragments of everyday life, folklore and moments of staged reality, the film wanders through Pushkar without ever settling on a single truth. The sacred becomes ordinary, the ordinary becomes absurd, and fact begins to feel indistinguishable from myth. Part documentary, part reconstruction, and part fever dream, Bhram-Nagri: The Land of Pushkar is an offbeat portrait of a place where everyone seems to be searching for something: God, money, salvation, meaning, or perhaps simply a story worth believing.
