La ciudad de Delos ha sido concebida como el más grandioso complejo artificial para el ocio. En ella es posible pasar unas vacaciones al más puro estilo romano, entrar a formar parte del mundo medieval o vivir una experiencia espacial. A esta megalopólis futurista son invitados una famosa reportera de televisión y Charles Browning, un polémico periodista, que intenta averiguar por todos los medios por qué fue asesinado uno de los operarios de Delos.
