Historia de una joven cantante de un pequeño pueblo, devastada por la muerte de su hermano en un accidente de coche, que pasa el verano en la ciudad de Los Ángeles. Allí estudiará en una escuela de arte, teniendo la posibilidad de entrar en un mundo totalmente diferente, y una forma de vida fuera de los círculos sociales de siempre.
