El príncipe y el mendigo (1977)
Tom es un ladronzuelo que por azar se encuentra con el príncipe de Gales. Ambos se sorprenden por su parecido y deciden intercambiar sus ropas, pues se prepara en el castillo real un baile de disfraces. El cambio es tan asombroso que en la corte los confunden: el verdadero príncipe es expulsado del castillo, mientras que el ladronzuelo es tratado como el heredero. Tras la muerte del rey Enrique VIII, el joven Tom ve con horror cómo va a ser coronado, mientras el verdadero príncipe intenta desesperadamente poder volver al palacio. Para ello recibirá la ayuda de un noble caído en desgracia, llamado Miles Hendon, que cree su descabellada historia.
