Un policía se encuentra en una carrera contra el tiempo para encontrar a una víctima de secuestro cuyo secuestrador mató accidentalmente. Aaron Eckhart interpreta a Frank Penny, un policía deshonrado que busca una oportunidad de redención. Cuando secuestran a la hija de 11 años del jefe de policía, Frank se vuelve pícaro para tratar de salvarla.
