De Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre Spencer Charters (25 de marzo de 1875 - 25 de enero de 1943) fue un actor de cine estadounidense. Apareció en más de 220 películas entre 1920 y 1943, principalmente en pequeños papeles secundarios. El primer trabajo teatral de Spencer Charter poco después de dejar la escuela fue un paseo, pero no pasó mucho tiempo antes de que le dieran papeles de buen tamaño. Actuó en Broadway entre 1910 y 1929 y fue un actor de carácter muy activo en películas durante la década de 1930 y principios de la de 1940. A menudo retrató jueces, médicos, secretarios, gerentes y carceleros algo desconcertados. Murió por suicidio debido a una mezcla de somníferos e intoxicación por monóxido de carbono.
