Biografía:

Ellen Hansen Corby (3 de junio de 1911 - 14 de abril de 1999) fue una actriz estadounidense, que se hizo conocida por la serie Los Walton, donde compartió créditos con Ralph Waite, Richard Thomas, Michael Learned, Will Geer, Patricia Neal, entre otros. Ellen Hansen nació en Racine, Wisconsin de padres inmigrantes de Dinamarca. Se crió en Filadelfia. Desde pequeña tuvo interés en el teatro, mientras que la escuela secundaria la llevó a Atlantic City en 1932, donde trabajó brevemente como corista. Se mudó a Hollywood en ese mismo año y consiguió un trabajo como chica script en RKO Studios y Hal Roach Studios, donde trabajó a menudo en las comedias Our Gang, junto a su esposo, el cineasta Francis Corby. Mantuvo esa posición durante los próximos doce años, y tomó clases de actuación en el lateral. El 14 de abril de 1997, Corby fallece en Los Ángeles, California, a sus 87 años.
