La Loi et la Pagaille (1974)
Dans les bas-fonds de Manhattan, le vol, le meurtre, le viol sont monnaie courante, mais la police est impuissante. C'est ce qui pousse Cy, propriétaire d'un salon de coiffure pour dames et Willie, chauffeur de taxi, à former une brigade spéciale. Ils n'ont aucun mal à trouver quelques citoyens aussi en colère qu'eux, une voiture et des uniformes. Ils entreprennent donc de partir en patrouille dans le quartier. Ils accumulent les gaffes en gênant le travail des vrais policiers et leurs inefficacité est évidente, mais leur enthousiasme est sincère. Un jour, la fille de Willie est attaquée dans un ascenseur. La brigade s'arme aussitôt et part en chasse...
