Alors qu'Olivia se remet à peine d'une rupture difficile et du décès de son frère, elle croise Jonathan, riche héritier au grand cœur qui semble avoir tout pour plaire. Très vite, elle le présente à ses parents et lui propose de financer un de ses projets caritatifs. Pourtant les proches d'Olivia se méfient. L'histoire semble trop belle pour être vraie.
