Le Prête-nom (1976)
En plein Maccarthysme, Alfred Miller, auteur de renom demande a son ami d'enfance, Howard Prince, modeste plongeur dans un petit restaurant, de lui servir de prête-nom. Howard accepte et signe un feuilleton de télévision qui obtient un vif succès. Le héros du feuilleton, Hecky, est bientôt inquiété par la Commission qui lui demande de réunir des informations sur Howard. Hecky se jette alors du haut d'un pont. Le petit plongeur est à son tour convoqué. Il accusera violemment les membres de la Commission d'établir un climat de persécution et de peur !
