Urban Cowboy (1980)
Jeune paysan texan, Bud gagne la ville de Houston, où son oncle Bob lui a trouvé un emploi dans l'industrie pétro-chimique. Le soir, toute la ville se retrouve au «Gilley's», grand saloon dont la principale attraction est le taureau électrique. Les hommes s'y affrontent pour être les champions du rodéo. Bud devient bien vite un habitué du lieu et apprend tous les rites de cette vie nocturne : il boit, danse et pavoise pour impressionner les jolies filles. Un soir, il fait la connaissance de Sissy. De part et d'autre, c'est le coup de foudre et les étapes s'enchaînent rapidement vers le mariage. Sous l'oeil paternel et bienveillant de l'oncle Bob, Bud apprend à devenir un homme...
